Wind farm protesters from across the Burnham-On-Sea area flocked to a public meeting on Friday evening (October 1st), where they received the backing of a local MP. OAKLAND — Construction is again under way on a Garrett County wind project after work was halted for two weeks for violations related to water runoff and soil erosion controls. Sustainable New Energy, a Plymouth alternative energy company, applied to the Zoning Board of Appeals for a special permit to construct two 328-feet wind turbines on the property. Jeanine Anderson Realty Trust owns the property; Jeanine Anderson is a trustee. Each turbine would generate two megawatts of power. Plans for the turbines were submitted late last week and ZBA members . . .
